CURRICULUM & PROGRAM DESIGN

Abby will help your organization develop meaningful and impactful learning experiences for your constituents.

Abby is a talented curriculum writer who has developed a plethora of individualized curricula for learners of all ages and stages. Prior to founding Judaics Tutoring NYC, Abby taught middle school Jewish studies at Schechter Bergen County, where she re-created the sixth grade Mishna (Rabbinics) and seventh grade Tanakh (Bible) curriculum.

In each curriculum unit, Abby masterfully combined text-based, skill-building learning with experiential arts and technology-based projects for students to deepen their connection to key Jewish content and concepts.

Abby envisioned and taught a new bar/bat mitzvah unit, “Empathy, Community and Responsibility,” during which students explored texts about the individual’s relationship to self and community. Students utilized technology and art to express the learning outcomes of the unit, and shared reflections with their families during a community siyum, a traditional celebration that marks the completion of chapter or section within the corpus of the Jewish textual tradition.

Abby can help your organization or institution create meaningful programming.
